The buyer's brief their agent doesn't want you to read.
Bidside is a Chrome extension that gives you an independent buyer's-agent brief on every property listing on realestate.com.au and domain.com.au. Fair value. Risk flags. The negotiation playbook. In seconds, on every property.
Free first brief. Works on REA and Domain. No card to install.
The listing agent works for the seller. The valuation tool on the listing site is owned by the same company that earns the commission. Every property tool you have ever used has been in the seller's pocket. Bidside is in yours.
We read the page you're looking at. We pull real comparable sales. We tell you what the listing agent left out, what the photos hide, and the specific opening offer we'd make. We don't take referrals from agents, brokers, or anyone whose interests are misaligned with yours.
How a Bidside brief lands on your screen.
Three steps. About forty-five seconds total. The slowest part is your Wi-Fi.
-
01
Install the extension.
One click from the Chrome Web Store. The extension is small, focused, and only activates on property listing pages — nowhere else. It does not read your Gmail or your bank statements. We checked.
-
02
Open any property listing.
REA or Domain. House, unit, townhouse, acreage. Auction or private treaty. Bidside notices and quietly attaches a card next to the listing — not in your face, not blocking the agent's photos.
-
03
Click "Generate brief".
Five seconds for the quick read. Thirty for the full brief. Comparable sales, risk flags, listing-history timeline, the agent's pricing pattern, your opening offer, your walk-away price. Receipts attached.
Whose number are you reading, exactly?
Every property has an "estimate" on it somewhere. Worth asking who owns the calculator.
PropTrack
Owned by REA Group.
Bidside
Owned by buyers like you.
Footnote Bidside also reads the PropTrack number off the page and shows it next to ours, clearly labelled as the vendor's. Two numbers, side by side, both visible. That's the whole point.
Every brief, five readings deep.
Real cuts from a Coogee house brief. Your brief renders live in the side panel, on the same screen as the listing. No copy-paste. No spreadsheet. No upsell.
Excerpts above are from a real Coogee house brief generated 22 May 2026. The full brief also includes comparable sales by address, an auction countdown, market context, and the negotiation playbook.
Pay nothing on properties you're just browsing.
Pay the price of a coffee the first time you're serious about one.
A fast TL;DR on every listing. The fair-value estimate, the headline risk, the recommendation. Free on every property — no card, no cap.
One full brief. Comparables, risk flags, negotiation playbook, the lot. Zero commitment, zero recurring charge.
$2.45 each. Credits never expire. Buy once, run a brief on every property you inspect for the next three months without thinking about it.
Every brief, every listing, every month. Cancel from the side panel in two clicks. No retention emails, no dark patterns.
All prices in Australian dollars and include GST. No subscription auto-renews you didn't agree to.
Questions, asked and answered.
- Is this financial advice?
- No. Bidside is informational analysis. We don't hold a financial services licence and we don't pretend to. Before buying any property, get advice from a licensed buyer's agent, conveyancer, building inspector, and lender. Bidside is there to help you walk into those conversations less stupid.
- Why is the first brief free?
- Because the listing platforms have trained you to expect free property tools. If we charged from the first click, you'd never see how much better an independent brief is than the seller-side numbers you've been reading. The first one's free because we're confident you'll be back for the second.
- How does this not get blocked by REA and Domain?
- Bidside reads the same publicly visible listing page you are looking at. We do not scrape, we do not bot, we do not ask the listing sites for credentials. It is the same as a buyer taking notes by hand on the page — just faster and more thorough. If REA or Domain were to start blocking this, we'd see that as them admitting buyers deserve their own analysis.
- Are you owned by REA, Domain, or any real-estate agency?
- No. Bidside is independent. We have no commercial relationship with any listing platform, agency, mortgage broker, conveyancer, or buyer's-agent business. We earn from buyers paying for briefs. That is the whole business.
- What if Bidside is wrong about a property?
- Sometimes it will be. Property valuation is inherently uncertain — that's why we tell you when the underlying data is thin and explicitly cap our confidence rating. Treat Bidside as a sharp second opinion, not a verdict. Always do your own physical inspections and get professional advice.
- Where does the data come from?
- Comparable sales and suburb statistics from PropRadar. Schools, transit, and amenity data from Google Maps. Building cues from Street View. The listing's own page for everything specific to the property. The analysis is done by Claude — an AI system from Anthropic — with prompts engineered specifically for the Australian property market.
- What data do you collect about me?
- Your email and an encrypted password. The properties you have analysed. That's it. We never see your card details — Stripe handles payments directly. We don't track your browsing outside of property listing pages. The full version is in our Privacy Policy.
Install the extension. Read one brief. Decide.
The first one's free. You won't have to talk to anyone, sign up to a mailing list, or watch a sales call. Just the brief, then the next listing.
